This pattern is written tutorial style and is based on your exact measurements. I have included standard measurements for all sizes. There are suggested bust circumferences for both a cardigan and ruana.

There is no specific gauge for this pattern. I do recommend you use a hook at least 1 mm up from what is suggested on the yarn label to make sure the lace is nice and open for ideal drape. You can use any yarn you want; you can use any weight and fiber content yarn you would like.

The estimated yardages will vary widely and is wholly dependent on the type of yarn you use and the number of pattern repeats you do. I have done my best to provide estimates for each size for the yarns my testers used.
