The blanket is made up of a 9x9 block of granny and rainbow motif squares, then granny stripes are added to two ends to create a rectangle shape. The piece is then embellished with fringing using all four yarn colours.

Be sure to set aside any long yarn ends you cut as you work - they can be repurposed for the fringing at the end.
