This crescent-shaped shawl has an off-center lace block on a stockinette stitch base. The shape is formed with increases in the beginning and end of each row. The shawl is finished with an eye-catching fringe that is attached to the edge after the shawl is blocked.
Materials:
• Yarn: 2 skeins of Nature’s Luxury Farouche (65% silk, 35% camel, 437 yds / 400 m – 100 g). Or approx. 612 yds / 560 m of fingering weight yarn (including fringe).
• Needles: US 2.5 / 3 mm 32” / 80 cm circular needles.
• Notions: 2 stitch markers.
The silver sample was knit using Nature’s Luxury Farouche in the colourway Frost. The pink sample was knit using Gregoria Fibers Comely Fingering (70% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 10% cashmere, x yds / 400 m – 100 g) in the colourway Vintage Rose.
Gauge:
20 sts x 25 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
Size:
Width (measured from the cast-on edge, the tips go higher up and wider): 55” / 104 cm.
Depth (without fringe): 19.25” / 48.5 cm.
