Bouquet de Fleurs tee
Make summer last all year with the reminder of small bouquets of flowers along the bottom of this top!
The Bouquet de Fleurs tee is worked top down with short rows for neckline shaping and raglan increases. The neckline, yoke and upper body are worked from the WS, in order to minimize the amount of purling.
Once the desired body length is reached, a single turn is made to turn the work around, making it easier to work the lace chart from the RS.
I used a fingering weight silk yarn held double, but yarn can easily be substituted with for instance cotton or a cotton blend in a DK weight. For a warmer garment, it would look great in a DK weight wool yarn as well.
Please note that the lace pattern is charted only.
Yarn used: Knitting for Olive Pure Silk (100% silk), 250 meters / 273 yards per 50g, 7-8-9-11-12-14 skeins. Colorway: “Dove Blue”.
Yarn is held double throughout. You can substitute with a DK weight yarn of about half the yardage.
Approximate meterage/yardage needed: 1665-2010- 2340-2825-3210-3615 meters / 1815-2190-2550-3080- 3500-3940 yards.
If working with one strand of DK weight yarn, only half of this meterage/yardage is needed.
Needles: 4 mm / US 6 circulars, 80 cm / 32 inches.
Optional: double pointed needles or smaller circulars, unless working Magic Loop method for sleeves.
Other: stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Gauge: Sample uses gauge of 20,5 sts & 30 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch.
Size: 1-2-3-4-5-6.
Finished bust measurement: 95,5-108,5-120-136,5- 146,5-163 cm / 37.5-42.75-47.25-53.75-57.75-64.25 inches.
Garment is intended to be worn with approx. 0-15 cm / 0-6 inches of positive ease.
Sample shown is size 2 with approx. 15 cm / 6 inches of positive ease.
