Inspired by the matt on the floor of the janitors office in Bramble Brae Primary School.

These fingerless mitts are very simple to knit with just one colour per row. Increases and decreases shape the chevrons and slipped stitches provide the colourwork.

These are stretchy and fit a range of hand sizes. Unstretched they measure about 8cm across. They use about half a hank of the main colour and less than half for the contrast colour, so two pairs can be made from two 50g hanks.
