Bridging the "6 Feet" with Love
Bridging the 6 Feet with Love was inspired by a very dear friend. Social Distancing and limited travel may keep us physically apart, but cannot separate our friendship!
This design begins with a center flower motif worked in the round. The scarf grows from this center along opposite edges to create the scart.
Instructions are available in 2 different yarn weights, lengths, and widths.
The laceweight version uses 2 pattern repeats of the flower motif and grows to a generous 90 “ (228 cm). However, the pattern includes instructions on creating a longer or shorter version to accommodate your personal style. As written, it used 900 yds/823 m of laceweight yarn (requiring 2 skeins of the recommended yarn)
The fingering version uses only 1 pattern repeat but creates a scarf nearly as wide because of the difference in gauge. The shorter length of 69” (175 cm) makes it possible to complete the scarf using only one skein of your favorite fingering weight yarn. However, like the laceweight, the pattern includes instructions on creating a longer or shorter version to accommodate your personal style. As written it used 380yds/347 m of the recommended yarn.
The lace patterns used are both charted and written.
Video links are provided to specific techniques recommended in the pattern.
To avoid confusion, the two versions are written as separate pattens, but will be sold as a single pattern. You will receive both versions in your library when you purchase this pattern.
