Busy Lizzy Rattle
Busy Lizzy is sure to catch your little one’s eye with her fun naive style and bold high-contrast colours - brighten up playtime with a splash of sunshine yellow any time of year!
This pattern is written in US crochet terms, with added diagrams and pictures to help along the way. There are also step by step photos detailing how to begin crochet and assemble the parts. You will need basic crochet stitches such as single crochet, chain and slip stitch - this is an amigurumi beginner project that takes about 2-3 hours to do.
The finished rattle is 18cm (7 inches) tall when made in doubled up DMC Petra Crochet Thread No3 (DK equivalent).
It needs 15g of yellow, 15g of black, less than 5g of white and red.
Alternatively use an aran weight cotton yarn. Use a commercial rattle insert or make your own with an empty Kinder Egg shell and 10g of small beads. You will also need a pair of black 6mm safety eyes.
