Cabled Headband Hat
by Cindy Walker
Soft and warm, this cabled head band will keep your ears warm on chilly winter days. This band is knitted straight, when the appropriate size is reached, you bind off and sew the ends together. You can stop there or go on to make a hat by picking up the slipped stitches and knitting the crown.
You can use any size yarn (and appropriate needle), thicker yarns will yield a wider band. You will need circular needles if you want to make the hat, straight will do for just the headband. You will also need a cable hook (or double pointed needle) for the cables.
