Candace's Cables Hat
“Candace’s Cables” is a warm winter set inspired by a hat worn by Candace Cameron Bure in the TV movie “Let It Snow.” The pattern includes instructions for both the cowl and the Candace’s Cables Cowl.
The hat is ringed in a variety of cables and crowned with a welt. The cowl size can be easily adjusted. Since the worsted weight yarn is worked at a tight gauge, the pieces are warm and will hold their shape. The cables will look best in solid or semi-solid yarn with good stitch definition.
The hat calls for a tubular cast-on, but don’t let that scare you - there are instructions and a diagram. Or you can use any stretchy cast-on you like; just cast on twice the number you would for the tubular.
Stitch patterns are provided in both written and charted form. Each hat and cowl shown used less than one skein of yarn.
Skills needed: Following a stitch pattern, working in the round.
