This great little fingerless mitts pattern is easy and quick. Perfect for quick gifts with a personal touch. You’ll need a skein of dk yarn and a set of four double pointed needles in size US4/3.5mm (or size you need to achieve the gauge). I chose Berroco Vintage DK for its reasonable price and hard working nature. It’s washable but still soft. The mitts are worked in the round and there are no seams. The top and bottom have a fun rolled edge. There is a section of ribbing at the wrist for a good fit. The thumb gusset is knitted in as you go. No picked up stitches! These will fit most older kids, teens and adults. The thumb features a nice eyelet design touch radiating up the center of the gusset. There is a right and left mitt, mirrors of each other for a more pleasing look when you wear them.
You will need to know how to co, k, p, k2tog, ssk, m1L, m1R and bo. Complete instructions are included for the increase and decrease techniques.
There are two large, easy to read charts and also included are written directions for the charts in case you don’t like working from charts.
