This is a beautiful delicate wrap inspired by draping gathers of fabric across my shoulders, with contrasting stripes to hold the whole picture together. Worked with two contrasting yarns, a mohair (Debbie Bliss Angel) and a silk mix (Debbie Bliss Andes). Together they create a contrast of both look and texture. The wrap can be worn as a summer wrap, covering shoulders on a cool evening, or as an elegant cover over an evening dress. The pattern is a simple repeat, with steadily increasing and then decreasing stitches. It’s a pattern that would suit an advanced beginner—someone who wants to move on to something a little more challenging, whilst sticking with mainly knit and purl stitches.
