The Celestia shawl is a fun and quick knit that is easy to relax into. With very simple cables and garter stitch, it’s a smooth knitting experience with some interest to keep you going, and the added pow at the end from the drop stitches. ⁣

Materials:
Cormo silk 85% Cormo 15% Silk 100g/400m -150g/600m
Any non superwash treated 4ply weight in either 100g or 150g.
It is better to choose non sw as it will ensure the shawl keeps it’s structure, and will be able to keep you warm. A soft 100% wool or wool silk blend is better next to the skin. If choosing a plant fibre, this shawl will block differently, choose one that is good at keeping some structure whilst also allowing drape.

Needles:
4.5mm/ US 7 circular needles for working flat

Gauge:
Pattern gauge (k2, p1 drop st, p1) : 5 sts x 5 rows per inch with sts dropped and blocked
Garter gauge : 24sts x 28 rows over 10cm/4” blocked
