The Chamarel Shawl is an asymmetrical kite shawl perfect to bring you JOY and HAPPINESS!
Spring is around the corner and why not prepare a new shawl using all our left-overs? It is an ideal shawl to use all your beautiful yarn, you can use as many colors as you want!

You can even use 2 strands of lace yarn together and in this case, you can do something that looks amazing, m! Use lace yarn Color 1, double held together. After some rows, change one of the 2 strands with another color, having in your hands one strand of Color 1 and one of Color 2. After some rows, knit with 2 strands of Color 2 and keep on this way…
You can even use your fingering yarn and in some parts 2 strands of lace weight yarn together!
Just take your yarn skeins, all these beautiful yarn and all the left-overs and put them one next to each other to match them and start knitting!

The whole shawl is a repetition of a Herringbone Stitch section and a Diagonal Lace section, ONLY!! You can do the changes of your yarn colors, wherever you want!

With this pattern, you will learn:

  2. how to knit the Herringbone stitch
  3. how to knit a beautiful Eyelet Lace
  4. how to create a Central Spine Stitch
  5. how to melt different yarn colors!

Materials:
Needles: (Circulars or longer to accommodate stitches)
For the Herringbone Stitch (HS): US 6/4.5 mm
For the Diagonal Lace Stitch (DLS): US 5/4 mm

Gauge: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!
31 sts and 20 rows over 4” 10 cm after blocking in HS.
31 sts and 8.75 rows over 4” 10 cm after blocking in DLS.
