Chaucer features two versions of this hat - colour-work and single colour with options that result in three different styles:

• Simple Beanie
• Earflaps with ties
• Earflaps without ties

The pattern was born out of my craving for designing an earflap hat.

Instructions are given from bottom up starting with optional ties, and earflaps. Links to nine useful technique videos are also provided. The six page pattern is complete with charts for each version of body, sizing table, and approximate yardage per colour of yarn.

Use any worsted/ aran weight yarn that gives you gauge.
