During the run up to Christmas in our household, we hang our SEAknitting knitted Christmas stockings by the fireplace in great anticipation of the arrival of Santa. When he arrives, he carefully places each person’s favourite chocolate bar in their personal stocking and when we wake on Christmas morning we know that Christmas can begin.
The Christmas stockings are then replaced by these knitted Christmas trees, which remain over the fireplace until Twelfth Night, when we carefully pack them away for next season.
Each year requires more trees and more Christmas stockings for various family members, so I always spend a lot of December knitting Advent gifts. I’ve written the pattern up so that you too can make some for your family and friends, I hope you enjoy it!
