This pattern features a topping of east-west cables over a bobbled area which, at closer look, is actually a portion of a ring of voluptuous torsos celebrating the female form (hence the name “Cleavage”). I designed this sock for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). This unusual sock is further enhanced by using a wonderful new colorway from Chameleon Colorworks called “Support the Girls” (my business partner, Becky Curran, came up with the colorway name at our knitting shop, The Yarn Deli, over knitting, lively conversation, good laughs, and cups of tea!). Nancy Colburn, a friend of mine and owner/dyer of Chameleon Colorworks, donates a portion of the sale of each skein of her “Support the Girls” colorway toward breast cancer research. “Cleavage” sports a subtle star toe and an easy stockinette heel.
