Coastal Cosy Socks
A pair of cosy, thick crochet socks made in a DK weight colour changing yarn. The stitches and construction are simple, allowing the fun colour changing yarns to shine! Each sock is made in one continuous piece from the toe up, so there are minimal ends, no seams to sew, and it’s easy to ensure a good fit. Put the socks on at the end of a day, curl up and get cosy after a day spent by the coast…
The socks can be easily adjusted in length to fit varying sizes, measurements for different sizes are detailed in the pattern.
The pattern is in both UK and US crochet terms.
One 100g ball of DK weight yan is enough to make at least one pair of socks. A few yarn suggestions are below:
• James C Brett ‘Aurora’ DK (80 % acrylic, 20% wool, 100g/345m)
• Opal X- Large 8ply (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 150g/320m)
• Emu Funfair ‘Helter Skelter’ DK (100% acrylic, 100g/360m)
• West Yorkshire Spinners ‘Colour Lab’ DK (100% wool, 100g/225m)
• 4.5mm hook, 10 stitch markers, yarn needle and scissors.
