This big, cozy shawl starts with one stitch and increases as it’s knit on the bias. I-cord edges keep things neat and Barbara Walker’s portcullis stitch is a fun way to add movement and color and actually looks a bit like crochet. Easily modified for weight or yardage or to have more or fewer patterned insets.
