Coming Up Roses Square

I was inspired to design this square by childhood memories from summers spent at my maternal grandmother’s house. Pink roses used to grow on the fence between her back yard and her neighbors’s yard. I think the roses actually belonged to the neighbors, but sharing didn’t seem to be a problem. This center of this square is a variation on the Irish Rose motif. The last round is perfect for the join-as-you-go method of joining crochet squares.
