How often do we wish to comfort someone who experienced loss or distress? I love making large shawls to gift as a “hug” for comfort. In need of such a comfort shawl, I designed this pattern.
This triangular shawl offers the option to mix and match sections, so you can create a cozy shawl unique to your style.
Yarn:
Workable in any weight yarn.
Pattern is worked from the top center down.
4 edge increases are worked on every RS row and 2 center increases on every other RS row.
There are 4 major sections (Garter, Eyelet, Ribbed and Short-row) that can be worked in any order to create a unique-to-you shawl: after working one first Garter repeat, you can pick and choose which sections to work next. Each section (16 rows) adds 40 sts to your shawl. Finish it off with the ruffled edge.
