this is a very versatile acessory! can be worn as a hat or a neckwarmer. Just untie the drawstring top of the ‘hat’ and pull down to make a neckwamer. Can also wear the neckwarmer upside down for a different look. Great for kids who don’t know what to do with their hat when they want to take it off… just slide it down!
Great stash buster too. You can combine several lighter weight yarns instead of using one super bulky yarn for the brim. The body of the hat doesn’t use very much yarn either. Add pom poms or tassels to the lacing and you are good to go. This is a quick knit and makes a perfect gift.
You will need one skein each of the yarns listed and will have much left over. Size US 13 circulars 16 inch long work up the brim in no time flat!
