Copperbranch
My new collection called Naturebook includes designs based on simple beauties drawn from nature.
To celebrate the beautiful Copper Beech tree, I included this crescent shape shawl worked from the top down. It features a stacked chevron border with small bobbles for a bit of texture. Easily resizable, the design is suitable for fingering to worsted weight yarns. Be sure to adjust yardage requirements when making substitutions.
Notes ~ the bobbles are created without turning your work back and forth, and the border is worked from either charts or the full written instructions.
Materials used for sample (weighs 158g):
Fyberspates Vivacious 4Ply
2 skeins Copper Tones
a row counter is helpful for this pattern
Acknowledgements:
The border includes elements of stitch patterns found in the Barbara Walker Treasuries.
