The cormorants of Thames River are industrious fishers, diving below the water’s surface, then emerging at a distance with their catch. In the afternoon they alight on shoreline rocks, spreading wings iridescent in the sunlight. This shawl is my interpretation of the cormorants’ wings in flight
Cormorants Wings Shawl is crescent shaped, beginning at top center back and worked down and outward. A center panel echoes the design elements. The top border is decorated with garter eyelets.
Note: The color changes in the model are due to use of a gradient yarn. This pattern does not contain instructions for working color changes.
