Cosmos Blanket
The Cosmos blanket, like its namesake, is beautiful in its simplicity. An excellent project for those who have mastered the basics of crochet and are looking for a stunning next project to develop their skills even further.
The eight petalled flower motif with its central disc is inspired by the cosmos bipinnatus, a member of the sunflower family, that grace the gardens throughout summer and well into autumn.
The pattern was developed in collaboration with Lucy Locket Land, who has put together the most glorious kits using Scheepjes Stone Wash yarn in stunning vintage, cottage garden colours which call to mind the work of the ceramicist Clairice Cliff.
The kit contains enough yarn for a blanket made up of 72 squares, eight squares by nine, with a simple double crochet border. It measures approximately 112cm x 126cm after blocking; making the perfect size to drape across your knee whilst enjoying an evening in the garden or park when the sun starts the fade.
We really hope you enjoy crocheting this gorgeous blanket.
