The Cow & Daisy Motifs pattern uses simple overlay mosaic crochet techniques with no special stitches and can be incorporated into many projects.

The 24-stitch by 24-row layout means it will fit together with any other Craft Pixie MOTIF pattern. This is part of the Craft Pixie MOTIFS collection and the Craft Pixie Design Process. You can read the Introduction to the Craft Pixie Design Process here.

We have also created some simple projects in our Craft Pixie PROJECTS gallery to inspire and help you. You can view the gallery here. Any of the Craft Pixie MOTIFs can be used to make these projects. We will be adding to these all the time, so keep checking back.

However, if you are designing your own project, then you have been provided with a blank grid and some motif images, which you can cut out and arrange in any order. All is explained in the pattern.

MOTIF measurements

Sizing will depend on yarn type, hook and tension. But as a guide, the following yarns have been tested and the dimensions for a one-motif sample are given below:

Cygnet Aran / 5.00 mm hook
5.75” x 5.75” (14.5 cms x 14.5 cms)

Stylecraft Special Aran / 5.00 mm hook
6.5” x 6.5” (16.5 cms x 16. 5 cms)

Caron Simply Soft / 5.00 mm hook
6” x 6” (15.25 cms x 15.25 cms)

Stylecraft Special DK / 4.00 mm hook
5.25” x 5.25” (13.25 cms x 13.25 cms)

Yarn requirements

Yarn requirements will depend on yarn type, hook and tension. But as a guide, the following have been tested and the yarn usage for a one-motif sample are given below:

Stylecraft Special Aran
Background colour = 20 g (60 m)
Motif colour = 15g (45 m)

Stylecraft Special DK
Background colour = 15 g (45 m)
Motif colour = 10g (30 m)
