Cozy Corner Teapot Sweater/Tea Cosy
If you love teapots (and steaming cups of tea) as much as I do, this teapot warmer will prolong your delight, for both your eyes and your palate. This one is named after an early-1900’s song, “My Cozy Corner Girl.” (Constructed bottom up like a sweater, in the round to the “armholes”, flat front/back, rejoined at “neck”/ruffle edge. Either DPNs or two circs.)
Gauge: Approximately 4.5 st/in in stockinette, 5 st/in in K3P1 rib.
Sizes: Small fits approximately a 4-cup pot. Large fits an 8-14 cup pot.
Needle Size: US 8/5mm. I prefer a set of 5 long Double Pointed Needles (DPNs). However, you can alternatively use one large circular needle if you wish.
Yarn: Heavy Worsted or Aran weight wool or wool blend, 4oz.
