Worked sideways from sleeve cuff to sleeve cuff, with a slit forming the boat neck, this couldn’t be simpler. But how striking!
This BIG bold cable from wrist to wrist really highlights your shoulders, collarbones, neck and face!

The skills required are very basic! This is suitable for a near beginner. Maybe your first go at cables? Or maybe your first sweater.
I’m no beginner, but I LOVE fast and simple designs - this is one!

The only sewing is under the arms and sides - and it’s against the purl stitches, so even if you are bad at sewing, it won’t show.

The waistband is picked up stitches and worked in the round downward, so if you need it a bit longer, no problem, as long as you have yarn.

The only thing to note: the sleeves cannot be lengthened or shortened, unless you want to redesign the pattern. Why? to keep everything symmetrical. (start with a cable twist, end with a cable twist, and a cable twist at center neck)

I did my sweater in HPKY “Venice” which is a bulky thickness. BUT also very light and airy. This yarn also has a metallic sparkle in it.

I loved this yarn, but I think the design would also work well in an alpaca, mohair, some thick chainettes are great and maybe just plain merino wool. I’m not too sure about cotton or any other heavy, dense yarn. Go for FLUFFY!

Finished bust: 34 (38, 42, 46, 50, 54)“

I hope to see some other’s finished projects in this one!
