After falling in love with this scrumptiously soft yarn, I knew I had to make something that I could wrap myself up in and snuggle with on a cool evening. The arrow shape is made with increases and decreases on alternating rows of garter stitch and lace with a simple reversible cable spine up the middle. I recommend you use at least 700 meters of lace weight or fingering weight yarn. Cupid’s Arrow is knit in two versions with 200 grams of sock yarn and 100 grams of lace weight yarn which makes a good size shawl, however it can be knit with any weight and length of yarn as it is knit until a small amount of yarn is left to knit the top edging.

Needles: US 5/3.75 mm or US 3/3mm.
Yarn: In order to get a good size shawl, I recommend you use at least 800 meters (200 gr) fingering weight yarn or 700 meters (100 gr) lace weight . Perfect for 2 or 3 skeins of gradient sock yarn. The pink gradient sample was knit with 1 skein of Lang Yarns Puno in the colorway 978 (pink to red) and the rainbow sample was knit with one skein of Bilum Hand Dyed Yarns Muruk, 50% Silk, 50% Yak.
Gauge: 19 sts/4 inches in garter stitch after blocking. Gauge is not important for this project, you will weigh your yarn and use it up until you only have 2% left, that is then used for the edging.
Notions: Tapestry needle, cable needle, 2 stitch markers, and 1 removable stitch marker.
