This beautiful and comfortable yoke is fun to make with intriguing lace pattern which can be knit in multiple colors or one color. The lace expands on itself, adding layer by layer, similar to the layers of petals on a Dahlia. It’s easy to throw over a dress or jeans.
PATTERN INFORMATION
- This sample was knit holding two strands of fingering weight yarn together.
- Please be sure to check the gauge and note the yardage required will be different if using one strand of DK yarn.
- The yarn I bought to use for Contrasting Color 2 - Contrasting Color 6 is not available. A great alternative would be Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails. There’s a variety of colors and each mini-skein contains 52 yards of single-ply, fingering weight yarn. Another alternative would be to use one color for all lace sections of the pattern.
Skills to explore: top-down yoke construction, seamless sweater design, lace work (graph and chart available), circular knitting
