Dappled Sky
This round-yoke pullover is worked seamlessly from the top down. Concentric rings of simple textured patterns separated by bands of garter stitch adorn the length of the yoke and body. Short rows are worked into the ribbed neckband and increases are concealed in the bands of garter stitch. There is an optional full bust adjustment when dividing the body and sleeves which moves the sleeves toward the back of the sweater making the front wider than the back. The body is worked without shaping from underarms to hem, with two length options. The short sleeves are completed with ribbing.
The inspiration for this design came from Brooklyn Tweed’s Dapple yarn; a blend of organic cotton and American merino wool. The exact ratio of cotton to wool varies as the yarn is spun and the different ways that each fiber takes dye creates the tonal color variations. To achieve the same gradient effect as the sample, start by arranging your skeins from light to dark. To blend the colors from one skein to the next I used helical knitting, alternating skeins every round in a spiral.

OPTIONAL FULL BUST ADJUSTMENT
This modification will make the front of the sweater 3½ to 3¾ inches/9 to 9.5 cm wider than the back at the underarms. Directions are given in the “Divide Body and Sleeves” section of the pattern. The total body circumference will remain the same.
