Deckard
This zippered raglan cardigan with a hood is worked from the bottom seamlessly to the armholes, where the sleeves are joined with the body. Sleeve shaping is worked on the outer side of the sleeve.
This pattern is also available as sleeveless design with straight armholes.
- SIZE & SKILL LEVEL Finished chest circumference - 28 (29¼, 30¾, 32, 34, 36) in / 71 (74.5, 78, 81.5, 86.5, 91.5) cm, zipped. To fit sizes 4 (6, 8, 10, 12, 14). Shown in size 10 (sleeved version) & size 12 (vest). Easy difficulty - Knit, purl, raglan shaping, picking up stitches, working in the round.
- MATERIALS AND NOTIONS Malabrigo Chunky (100% merino wool; 100g / 104 yds / 95 m); #259 Charrua. • 5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7) skeins for sleeved version • 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5) skeins for vest version Substitute with approximately: • 500 (520, 550, 570, 610, 640) yds / 450 (470, 500, 520, 550, 580) m for sleeved version • 380 (390, 410, 430, 460, 480) yds / 340 (350, 370, 390, 410, 440) m for vest version 6.5 mm (US10½) double-pointed and 32 in / 80 cm long circular needles. Always adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge. Separating zipper: • Approximately 14 (15½, 17, 18½, 19½, 20½) in / 35.5 (39.5, 43, 47, 49.5, 52) cm long for sleeved version • Approximately 12½ (14, 15½, 17, 18½, 19½) in / 32 (35.5, 39.5, 43, 47, 49.5) cm for vest version Stitch markers in two colours, stitch holders, tapestry needle, sewing needle, and thread.
