Wrist-length fingerless driving gloves feature a daisy lace stitch pattern on the back of the hand, a thumb gusset for perfect fit, and a garter stitch wristband with a single button closure.

This recently updated pattern is worked in semi-solid wool and silk blend yarn from the March Hare, for a snug and sassy fit. The addition of silk in this yarn makes for a harder wearing glove that will stand up to the wear and tear of your roadster’s steering wheel.

Though originally designed for sport weight yarn, when I saw the angora yarn from Orkeny Angora, I couldn’t resist knitting the gloves in DK weight as well. I used exactly the same pattern, but went up a needle size to accommodate the slightly thicker yarn. The resulting gloves are a little more relaxed in fit, buttery soft to the touch and totally luxurious.
