Earwarmer Hat
Ribbing of hat knitted with yarn held double to provide extra warmth over ears, then the remainder is knit tightly with a single strand.
I knit the sample with 4” of stockinette between the ribbing and start of the decreases, but many people have commented that 4.5” or 5” works better.
