Edith
Edith is one of three shrugs in a set, using the same basic shape but worked with a different type of knitting stitch. These shrugs are perfect to pop over your shoulders when you are watching TV, relaxing on the sofa or to cover up a little when sitting outside. The super chunky wool will keep you warm, even on the chilliest of evenings!
They are mainly knitted in a rectangle, from the bottom up. There is a little shaping at the back of the neck using short rows. The arm holes are made at the end by folding the edges together and sewing them up just part of the way. As it uses super chunky weight yarn the shrug will knit up quickly. Perfect if you want to whip up a quick gift for a loved one! The Edith shrug is knitted with the diagonal basket weave stitch. This is a really eye-catching stitch which looks more difficult than it is. The pattern uses 750g - 800g of super chunky weight yarn.
