Éist Le Mo Ghuth
Éist le Mo Ghuth (pronounced “ISHT lay ma gaht”) is Irish Gaelic for “Listen to My Voice.” The knotwork-style twisted stitch designs are actually based on traditional Bavarian patterns, but nevertheless are Celtic in appearance.
A light-colored yarn with good stitch definition is best for showing off the twisted stitches. The scarf shown is knitted in Lout Gems Fingering, colorway “Grape” and Three Irish Girls Kells Sport in colorway “Mediterranean.”
Make it in thicker yarn for a wider stole (adjust yarn amounts accordingly).
Depending on color choice, the scarf could work for a man or a woman.
