This pattern was designed for the Hodge Podge Showdown #3!

It contains patterns for a hat and a cowl or scarf option for Child, Teen/Small Adult and Adult sizes. Hat will take less than 200 yds, Cowl or Scarf will take the rest. Cowl will require two 1” buttons.

Gauge Pattern: (J hook or whichever hook works to meet gauge)
R1: Chain 10. (sc, dc) in 2nd ch from hook. Skip ch, (sc, dc) in next, repeat to end of chain. (5 sc/dc repeats)
R2: Ch 1, turn. Skip dc, work (sc, dc) in next st, repeat to last sc.
R3-8: Repeat R2. Finished swatch should measure 2.75”x2.75”

Stitches used:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet (US)
dc - double crochet
magic circle
hdc - half double crochet
third loop - the loop on the back of hdc
