Equinox Mitts
erratta: Row 6 of the pattern, the first K3 should read K2 - when I figure out how to edit the pattern and upload the corrected version, I will, but in the meantime, please note this correction! Thanks!
The equinox is a strange time of the year. Marking both the first days of spring and autumn, it’s that “in between” season where it’s sometimes not cold but sometimes also not warm. These are that ideal garment for this time of year – they’re not quite full mittens like you would need in the cold of winter, but they cover your hands and wrists enough to brace you from the not-quite-warm temperatures.
Although a dk or worsted yarn could work to make this pattern & make tension, I recommend using an aran weight yarn and going down a needle size, to get a nice density for warmer mittens.
10-15-2018: Updated pattern available, please make sure you have the revised pattern in your records.
I’ve done my best to write out each step of the cable, and although I’ve done my best to make it clear, there may be a typo that I’ve overlooked. Please contact me immediately if you spot one so I can fix it! Thanks for your help.
Happy knitting!
