Say hello to the Essex Beanie! This beanie is the perfect go-to hat for fall and winter! It works up in a flash with worsted weight yarn, and features stylish knit-look ribbing and tons of texture!

This pattern comes with easy to follow step-by-step instructions and clear photos, with a photo tutorial for the trickier parts.

This is an original design, using US crochet terms. You may not copy, distribute or sell this pattern as your own design, but feel free to sell finished hats made from this pattern! • SKILL LEVEL - Intermediate (Requires knowledge of sl st, hdc and working in the back loop only).

• SIZE - Hat shown measures 15.5”/39 cm around (stretches to over 22”) and 8.5”/21.5 cm tall, and will fit head sizes 19.5-22.5”/49.5 cm- 56 cm. You can easily adjust your hat to fit any size by adding or removing stitches and repeats.

YOU WILL NEED:

• Approximately 160 yards Worsted (#4) weight yarn. For my sample hat, I used MadelineTosh Vintage in Toasted Sugar. Some other good choices would be Lion Brand Wool Ease, Premier Everyday Worsted, or Manos Alegria Grande. Try to choose a yarn around 180-200 yards per 100g.

• Size I (5.5 mm) Crochet Hook

• Yarn needle and scissors

• Faux Fur Pom Pom (optional)
