This easy DIY tree can be made by any level crocheter and offers a chance to involve kids of all ages.
A stick forms the trunk and crocheted circles form the foliage. This pattern uses nine circles, but you can adjust the number to fit the height of your trunk. Experiment with different shapes, colors, and types of yarn to vary the look of your forest.
The pattern is geared towards advanced beginners and uses American crochet terminology. Text instructions and stitch charts are both included in the pattern.
Use medium-weight (worsted weight) yarn, a stick or dowel about 1/4” 6 mm in diameter, and a block of foam or wood as a base. You’ll also need craft glue or hot glue.
The free version on the blog does not include charts.
