Pattern & construction
Pattern is fully written out and charted. Hat is knit in the round from the bottom up.

Sizes
Choose a size approx. 7-10 cm (3 ½ -4 in) less than your actual head size for a snug fit or 3-5cm/1 ¼ -2in less for more relaxed slouchy fit.
Sizes are finished garment:

Age 4-adult S: 43cm/16 ¾ in circumference and 28.5cm/11 ¼ in tall
Adult M/L: 51cm/ 20 ¼ in circumference and 29.5cm/11 ¾ in tall

Needles:
Needles in the range 10-12mm (US 15-16) circular needle or correct needle size to achieve gauge and a needle 0.5-1mm (1-2 US sizes) smaller for the start of the hat. You can use DPNS if you prefer. Pattern assumes magic loop, but you may substitute your preferred method for small circumference knitting when decreasing the crown.

Gauge:
7 stitches and 10 rows over 10cm/4 in over pattern st.
