A bit of sophistication and romance here in this rectangular shawl that is a real pleasure to knit. It never gets boring with lots of differing lace and stitch patterns as well as color changes. It’s all in the detail….

Yarn: A knit kit with 6 midi skeins in fingering weight yarns is available with the free in kit pattern at www.yarnz2go.com.

Alternatively: use 90 yard portions af various textures and colors all in fingering weight. 6 portions in total.

Notions:
US size 6 (4 mm) circular needle 36” (90 cm) in length
30 stitch markers

Gauge: For lace border 1.5” (3.8 cm) per repeat in length and 2.5” (6.4 cm) in width, unblocked.
Gauge is not critical but will affect the size.

Techniques used: Lace knitting, increasing, decreasing, picking up stitches, garter stitch, stockinette stitch, color changes.

Level of Expertise: Intermediate
