Faded Roses
by Pat Menchini
The elaborate panel is the main feature on this lovely design. The panel itself consists of vertical bands of chevron eyelets, slanting leaves and a cental “shell” motif. The varying row tension of the centre shell causes the lower edge on the front to form a prettty, slightly wavy edge.
I designed the back to be simple so it is worked all in stocking stich - however, you could work the back exactly as the front of you prefer.
The underarm shaping gives a semi-dolman effect and makes a comfy dropped shoulder.
