Fall Frolic
Construction
Fall Frolic is knit seamlessly from the top down. The yoke is cast on and short rows are worked to raise the back of the neck for a comfortable fit. The colorwork yoke is knit, then the body and sleeves are separated and worked from the top down. The collar is picked up and knit.

German short rows, colorwork, backward loop cast on, picking up stitches, tubular bind off, slipping stitches
Selecting A Size
Fall Frolic is intended to be worn with 2-4” / 5-10 cm of positive ease. Select a size 2-4” / 5-10 cm larger than your bust circumference. Measurements below are for the finished sweater.

Contrast Color: Oh my god, okay it’s happening, everybody stay calm 1 (1, 1, 1) 1, 1, 1 {1, 1} skeins
Main Color: 1012 (1138, 1265, 1391) 1518, 1644, 1771 {1897, 2024} yds of a similar fingering weight yarn
Contrast Color: 135 (152, 169, 186) 203, 220, 237 {253, 270} yds of a similar fingering weight yarn
Needles
Needle A (Colorwork Yoke/Colorwork Sleeve)
One 32” circular needle, US 6 / 4 mm or size needed to get gauge for colorwork
Needle B (Stockinette & Hem Ribbing)
One 24” circular needle, US 4 / 3.5 mm or two sizes smaller than needed to get gauge for colorwork
Needle C (Main Fabric: Beginning of Yoke)
One 16” circular needle, US 4 / 3.5 mm or two sizes smaller than needed to get gauge for colorwork
Needle D (Sleeve Cuff)
One 40” circular needle for magic loop or DPN’s, US 3 / 3.25 mm
Needle E (Neckband Ribbing)
One 16” circular needle, US 3 / 3.25 mm
Needle F (Sleeves)
One 40” circular needle for magic loop or DPN’s, US 4 / 3.5 mm or two sizes smaller than needed to get gauge for colorwork
Notions
Removable stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle to weave in ends
Gauge
25 sts and 33 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in the colorwork and texture stitch pattern, knit in the round and blocked.
Gauge for stockinette will be same as above, but using needle two sizes smaller.
