This Coffee Cozy uses a part of a motif I’ve been using in my Finnish patterns for the “Knitting XX from Around the World” books (socks, scarves, mittens, sweaters).

This pattern includes a brief tutorial and photos on how to make a plaited cast-on and bind-off.

The cozy is forgiving and works well for handspun of an inconsistent gauge (ask me how I know).

The sample you see here uses Lamb’s Pride worsted and US8/5mm for knitting in the round, the other uses the same needles and worsted(ish) handspun.
