Flamedrops Cowl
by Hilary Hues
This pattern was inspired by the fire-y color of Shibui Cima’s jumpsuit and the drops in the lace pattern. The piece is constructed in two separate pieces and then grafted on the top and the bottom so that the backside of the lace pattern and the knit side of the stockinette pattern face outward.
Gauge is not terribly important as the lace piece will stretch to fit the stockinette shell.
For those who are not comfortable with the kitchener stitch and/or provisional cast on, you could always use a regular cast-on/bind-off and sew the pieces together at the end.
