The finished bag using a 4mm hook and the suggested yarn measures approximately 12.5“ wide and 13.5“ high (excluding straps)

The finished bag using a 5mm hook and Drops Paris Cotton yarn measures approximately 14“ wide and 15“ high.

Substitute any aran/ worsted cotton or cotton & linen yarn. Gauge is not important for this project. If you usually crochet with a loose tension I recommend to keep tension tighter by using a smaller hook than is recommended on the sleeve of the yarn.
