REQUIREMENTS
Yarn and Finished Dimensions: As written, approximately 75” (190cm) wide, 20.75” (53cm) deep after blocking working six repeats of Chart 2. Each repeat of Chart 2 will make a difference of approximately 8” (20cm) in width and 2” (5cm) in depth. These figures are a guide only and the overall size will depend on your exact tension and blocking. Measurements taken using Lichtfaden Meridian 600m/100g though this pattern is suitable for most solid coloured, or semi-solid, laceweight yarns of around 600 – 800m/100g with the exception of alpaca based and other yarns that will not hold a block well. Especially suitable yarns include: - Lichtfaden Meridian, Lichtfaden Rei Lace, Natural Born Dyers Lustrous Myrka, Natural Born Dyers Lorbanery, Miss Babs Yearning, Miss Babs Dulcinea, Posh Yarns Robynn Heavy Lace, PookGB Pure Silk Heavy Lace and DyeDianaDye FlaxenSilk Lace.
Circular Needles: 3.25mm (US3), 3.5mm (US4), 3.75mm (US5) and 4mm (US6) about 1m in length or needles to create a pleasing fabric – your fabric should not be too dense and should have good drape.
You will also need: stitch markers, just under 1250 Miyuki or Toho size 6 seed beads if working Chart Two six times (1025 working Chart Two five times) and, 1mm crotat hook or 0.75mm crochet hook, needle (for weaving in ends), blocking pins and mats.
The pattern is both fully written and charted with bead placement clearly indicated throughout.
You will find it useful to print your pattern on a colour printer, however, coloured pencils could be used to highlight aspects of the pattern and bead placement.
