Gauge
Fingering weight: 9 sts & 12 rows = 1” in garter stitch
DK or fingering held double: 6 sts & 10 rows = 1” in garter stitch
Each column is approximately 3” in width
Gauge is not crucial to this pattern, so choose a fabric you like with the needle size you prefer.
Needles
Size US 2 / 2.75 mm for fingering weight
Size US 5 / 3.75 mm for DK weight or fingering held double
DPN or short straight needles, suitable for working small sections flat.
