Fogarty's Cove Hat
A unisex cable hat in the most lusciously soft alpaca yarn – the Fogarty’s Cove Hat celebrates another of Nova Scotia’s natural treasures.
Fogarty’s Cove, made infamous in Stan Roger’s 1976 song, is a beautiful wilderness area home to the bald eagle, osprey, moose and bear. The sample is knit in the “Fog” colourway – what could be more perfect?
The cabled ribbing leads into to Y-cable that continues to travel up the hat to the top as an irregular rope cable. Intervening stitches are knit in a twisted 1 x 1 rib.
The fit is beanie/toque style but can easily be worn further back on the head as a mini-slouch. Directions are included for deepening the hat to create more of a slouch.
PLEASE NOTE: Scarf shown in photo is not included. It is a separate pattern:Drumlin, part of the Bayshore and Drumlin set.
