For Granny is a biased wrap/shawl combining an uber cool and unique construction with bright colors. The mixture of its unusual shape and simple elements make it an engaging fun knit that will keep you on your toes without being complicated.

The pattern includes 5 mini skein and 6 mini skein versions.

YARN
You will need
1 skein (100gr or 400 yards) of fingering weight yarn in Color A
1 skein (100gr or 400 yards) of fingering weight yarn in Color B
Mini skein set of 5 colors, about 92 yards each (fingering weight)
OR
Mini skein set of 6 colors, about 80 yards each (fingering weight)

INSPIRATION
Like many of us, I have been taught to knit by my grandmother(who actually preferred to crochet!). Being a young adolescent during the second world war made her appreciate bright colors and when I came around in the 70s, her style was a mix of classic 60s shapes with happy colors. I think orange was her favorite! I dedicate this pattern to her - a woman who taught me pretty much everything I know. But most importantly, she taught me to experiment with shapes, colors and never be afraid to tackle any project. I have been waiting to come up with something truly special to dedicate to her and I believe this definitely qualifies!
